There's a fun applied improv exercise 'New Choice' which is great to play at the start of a new year or at a time of change. Participants are faced with a question or challenge which they give an answer to. After giving their answer they're given the instruction "New choice" and they reply with the first alternative answer they think of. No answer is wrong!
Repeated multiple times this challenges the individual or group to find alternative solutions and explore beyond their standard, rehearsed, narrow view answers to playfully discover the hidden gems hiding in the world of possibility.
